From Storm Damage to Peace of Mind: Restoring a Hill Country Home
When a severe storm swept through the Texas Hill Country, many homeowners were left with concerns about their property's condition. One homeowner in particular was understandably cautious when we first met—unsure about having anyone on the roof, yet aware that a post-storm inspection was essential.
Just minutes into our assessment, the situation became clear. Using detailed photo documentation, we uncovered significant storm-related damage to the roof. That initial discovery opened the door to a comprehensive walk-through of the entire property.
What we found included:
• Roofing system damage
• Compromised gutters
• Weather-worn custom exterior wood stain
• Torn window screens
• Damage to stained concrete surfaces
• Fallen tree hazards
• Bent and warped wrought iron fencing
But the most surprising issue was inside the home. The force of the storm had caused structural uplift, releasing tension in key interior beams. One 8x8 support beam had twisted—impacting both the structure’s integrity and the home’s carefully designed finishes. Before beginning repairs, we coordinated with movers to safely relocate a large antique clock, ensuring both the item and the space remained protected.
As we neared the end of the project, the homeowner shared that they’d be hosting a large gathering at their home. With that in mind, we accelerated the final stages, coordinating multiple crews to ensure gutter repairs were completed in time.
The result? A fully restored roof system and the repair of multiple impacted areas throughout the property. More importantly, we delivered peace of mind—knowing the home is now protected and ready for whatever comes next.
At Churchill USA, we’re honored to serve the people of the Texas Hill Country. Every home tells a story, and we’re proud to help preserve it.
